It is 44 seconds loop about the child of Japanese MANEKI NEKO and Russian NEVALYASHKA. I still don't know what exactly it means, but if I would be a son of those two dolls, I have to look like this. :-) (actually, it is a sketch for a sculpture)

MANEKI NEKO - The Maneki Neko (招き猫?, literally "Beckoning Cat"; also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money cat, or Fortune Cat; sometimes incorrectly labeled Chinese Lucky Cat) is a common Japanese sculpture, often made of ceramic, which is believed to bring good luck to the owner.

video-documentation about video-installation at the International Biennial August in Art, Varna, 2008

Synopsis:
The image of a man hanged head below, making motions, which are very similar to the motions of the
pendulum, is projected to the wall of the gallery. The top line of the image is coincided with the top line of the wall, between the wall and the roof.

Conception:
Those motions like pendulum in their own nature are deep into the nature of the author. He feels pain in his backbone since his childhood and this is one of the ways to make this pain decrease. In other hand he often throws by one extreme to other extreme same like a pendulum.

video documentation about video installation from the exhibition in gallery Hidamari (the Glass Pyramid), Sapporo, Japan, 2007

Brief description: A video image of a naked silent man, lying still under the sea level, is screened right to the floor (3 min loop). The man is shot from above (above the water) so that the refraction of the image, caused by the water motion, could be seen. The image is as large as the projected man in his full size.

An eager fan of the ‘Sermon with Flower” delivered by Buddha, i.e. the author, Neno Belchev, is interested in every form of silence – in terms of a road, or a way how to follow that road, and finally in terms of an artist - he is interested in silence as a form of influence.
